#### LHXSWG Report 4 now available

The Handbook of LHC Higgs cross sections: 4. Deciphering the nature of the Higgs sector is finally finished. This 868 page report summarizes the results of the activities of the LHC Higgs Cross Section Working Group in the period 2014-2016.

#### Jim Virdee awarded the W.K.H Panofsky Prize by the American Physical Society for his leadership in the construction of the CMS detector

Sir Tejinder Virdee of Imperial College London and member of HiggsTools has been recognised by the American Physical Society (APS) through the award of the W.K.H. Panofsky Prize in Experimental Particle Physics (jointly with Michel Della Negra and Peter Jenni).

#### HiggsTools Senior Scientist elected as new spokesman for ATLAS

Congratulations to Prof. Dr. Karl Jakobs of University of Freiburg and member of HiggsTools on his election as spokesman of the ATLAS experiment. He will take over from Dave Charlton in March 2017.

#### First ESR paper with private sector partner

Nicolas Gutierrez is currently seconded to RISC GmbH and is working on the analysis of monitoring data from computers, servers or cloud infrastructures. Their analysis is based on the extraction of patterns and trends from historical data, using elements of time-series analysis.
